Update: Jordan attended his first adoption event and he was a super star. He's very calm and gentle with dogs and children of all ages. He sits very nicely and gently takes treats. He then had a play date with Gordi, one of our volunteer's young male dogs and it was as if they've known each other all of their lives. They romp and play and cruise the yard together sniffing along the fence line. Jordan is very loyal to his person and wants to be near her. Whomever adopts this boy will instantly love him and see how sweet and loyal he is.
Hi There! This is Jordan. He was found running loose out in the country over a month ago and word has it is that he had been out there for quite sometime, all alone, scared and hungry. Several people tried to catch Jordan but he was just too frightened to come close to anyone until one day, about a month ago, some kind people tried to catch Jordan and it was a child with a piece of pizza that brought him in. A kind rescuer took him in and is showing him the good things in life. Jordan is a friendly boy, has nice manners overall, loves children, and is very gentle. All efforts were taken to find Jordan’s owner but no one was found. He is good on leash, looks to his handler for direction and support/assurance. Jordan LOVES car rides and calmly sits/lays during the ride. He enjoys treats and takes them ever so gently. Jordan is crate trained, seems to be somewhat house trained and is a mellow fellow overall. He is around 60-70 lbs and seems to be a young adult. Jordan is shy at first but warms up quickly, he is drawn to kids and very gentle with them. Jordan is great with other dogs and plays very nicely with them. Jordan is very observant and takes in everything. More sight oriented than scent. Curious about cats and rabbits but more as a curiosity than a prey drive and easily redirected. Jordan is healthy, fully vaccinated, neutered, on preventatives and microchipped. If you have any questions about Jordan, please email Donna at rescuemuttsrule@yahoo.com and if you would like to adopt Jordan, kindly fill out our adoption application located at allmuttsmatter.org under the ‘adoption’ tab listed on the left. Thanks so much for wanting to adopt a rescue dog.
More about Jordan
Sponsors: Donna S. is sponsoring Jordan. On 7/28/14 Jordan was found to be very emaciated and he was not returned to Freddie. On 8/1 he was seen by Dr. Coogan, a fecal was run, all was negative and it was determined that Jordan was very thin due to possible stress and not being fed enough. 8/28 Jordan has gained at least 10 lbs and is now an official member of the Seward family. Jordan & Gordi are BFFs. :-)
Special Needs: None.
