Gigi must go in a home with another dog and have a fenced in yard. This is what her foster mom wanted to tell you about Gigi. Gigi is a sweet and shy, but can be quite sassy when she wants to eat or go outside. She is a tad skittish and takes a while to warm up to people. Gigi is not a lap dog although she loves getting pets, kisses, and scratches. She just prefers to have her own spot from which to receive pets. She spends most of her time curled up in a comfy place, keeping an eye on the room or sleeping. She is a bit skittish on walks, but does fine and can keep quite a rapid pace. She does NOT like dry food; she would sooner starve. She is still a bit overweight, though she has lost about 3 lbs since she came here and is maybe still about 2 lbs from a healthy weight. She really prefers the company of another dog; she would not do well as an only dog. She spent almost all of her time alone before we took another foster dog, and then she came alive. Now she likes to be where everyone is, she wags her tail, and she gets excited to see us when we get home. She likes being with the other dog and feels much more confident with him. She is very submissive towards people and dogs in general, but can be snappy when she has a treat she is protecting. She is tolerant of children as long as they are respectful and gentle. She is very well house-trained and has had only very rare accidents, which have decreased as she has gotten more comfortable. I will be very sorry to see her go as she has really grown on me. ❤️
