Hi All!  Dixie is my name and I am a gentle southern lady who was picked up as a stray in Kentucky, no one ever came looking for me and I wound up in a shelter.  The folks at All Mutts Matter saw my picture and immediately decided that they wanted me to go north to them so they can help find a furever home for me.  I am so happy to be in a foster home instead of the scary and loud shelter.   I like people and other dogs, I'm approximately 4 to 6 years old and weigh about 15 pounds.  I know how to sit wait my turn  and go outside, I love to cuddle and sit with you, my foster family has helped me to adjust, I like to play with my foster siblings.   Could I be the one for you?  If you would like to adopt me, please fill out an adoption application located at www.allmuttsmatter.org and the form is located under the 'Adoption Info' tab on the left.  Thanks bunches and hope to hear from you soon.  Dixie        Our adoption process is below:

1. The application will be processed, evaluated and we will contact the vet and personal references;

2. All other applications that have been submitted on Dixie will also be processed (best suited applicant is chosen, not first come first serve);

3. Schedule a home visit; and

4. Adoption is finalized when the best-fitting home is found for Dixie. If you have young children or other pets and everyone gets along, Dixie will be able to stay at your home and do a foster to adopt for about a two-week trial period. If all is going well after the trial period, the adoption will then be finalized. Our adoption fee for Dixie is $295.00.
