Update: Gabby is in town and what a sweet sweet girl. Her foster sister, Lucy, a black lab mix, thinks Gabby is sweet too. Gabby rides great in the car, gets along very well with all dogs of all sizes and ages, takes treats ever so gently and is house and crate trained.
Hello friends! My name is Gabby and I'm a pretty, happy, go-lucky girl now that my friend Deb in Kentucky has come to the rescue. You see, I'm not sure how it happened, but I wound up in a very scary and noisy shelter and when Miss Deb saw me, she quickly whisked me away to her house. I'm only about 25 lbs, full grown with a pretty blond coat. I am a sweet little girl and I get along with cats, dogs and even horses. I like people and as Miss Deb says I am a "gem." If you would like to adopt me, please go to www.allmuttsmatter.org and fill out an adoption application which is located under the 'Adoption Info' tab on the left. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and I really hope to hear from you soon. Our adoption process is below:
1. The application will be processed, evaluated and we will contact the vet and personal references;
2. All other applications that have been submitted on Gabby will also be processed (best suited applicant is chosen, not first come first serve);
3. Schedule a home visit; and
4. Adoption is finalized when the best-fitting home is found for Gabby. If you have young children and/or other pets and everyone gets along, I will be able to stay at your home for a trial period of two-weeks with you and your family and we call this a foster to adopt. If all is going well after the trial period, the adoption will then be finalized. Our adoption fee for Gabby is $295.00.
